And just like that … a meme was born! Fans of “Sex and the City” are getting creative on social media following the release of a first glimpse of the first day of filming for the HBO Max series, “And Just Like That.”

In the original photo, Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis are dressed as their characters Miranda Hobbes, Carrie Bradshaw and Charlotte York as they walk side by side through the streets of New York City.

The highly anticipated series teaser had already caused a stir on social media after the reboot was announced earlier this year, sending fans into a frenzy nearly 17 years after the original series ended.

This time around, the sneak preview sparked an immediate response from the internet, who took the photo and used it in creating a myriad of hilarious photoshopped scenarios. Many of them have tried to imagine who could replace the irreplaceable Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall, who, controversially, will not be returning to the series.

Here are 11 of our favorite first look reactions to “And just like that”.

1. “Sister Act”

A Twitter user paid tribute to legendary Whoopi Goldberg’s “Sister Act” character, Deloris Van Cartier, retouching a photo of her next to Davis wearing her religious garb.

“And just like that, we got back into the habit”, the Tweeter Lily.

2. “Billy in the street”

Another edited version of the photo looked like an episode of Billy Eichner’s “Billy on the Street,” starring Elena, a fan favorite of the hit series, mounted sideways.

3. The Old Navy ad

A version of the photo has been edited to appear like a typical Old Navy print advertisement, with the Navy logo placed front and center, saying “30% off” below.

The user tweeted, “And just like that… huge savings.”

4. Presentation by Wendy Williams …

Nixon, Parker and Davis were joined in another user’s post by another New York icon: Wendy Williams. A photo of the daytime talk show host posing with her hand on her hip was placed next to Nixon, the legend reading: “And just like that … Wendy and the town.”

5. Beard and star

The three women were visited by Barb and Star in another montage, featuring Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo as their characters from “Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar”, leis and all.

6. Fran Lebowitz

It wouldn’t be New York without an appearance by Fran Lebowitz herself. Another fan-edited photo showed Lebowitz donning a long black coat and his iconic frames appearing without fun next to the three women as they walked down the street.

“Pretend it’s a sex and town reboot,” the Tweeter lu, from Lebowitz’s Netflix series, “Pretend It’s a City” directed by Martin Scorsese.

7. Elsa’s aftermath

One fan made a more timely cut, using a photo from this week’s flood on the New York City subway to edit the cast wading through the water.

“And then I realized that with New York underwater, was my love life also drowning?” ” the legend lu, playing Carrie Bradshaw’s famous handwriting cliché.

8. XOXO Gossip Girl

In honor of the reboot premiere of “Gossip Girl” on HBO Max, the three women of “Sex and the City” met Tavi Gevinson’s character, Kate Keller, English teacher at Constance Billard.

“* Kristen Bell Voice * And just like that …” the Tweeter read, paying homage to Bell as the narrator of “Gossip Girl.”

9. The return of “Punky Brewster”

One montage made reference to Kim Cattrall’s absence, showing a returning character from the ’80s. An image of Glomer from the short-lived “Punky Brewster” animation was placed in the lower corner, the legend reading: “Honestly, I thought I would miss Kim Cattrall more, but honestly that first look at ‘And just like that …’ feels completely natural.”

10. The crossing “The Undoing”

In another, Davis got a bit of a makeover, swapping her original black monochrome outfit for Nicole Kidman’s long green coat from “The Undoing” with a brown suede tote.

“And just like that old green coat,” the Tweeter Lily.
