Netflix Australia wowed fans across the country by revealing the eight Harry potter the films will return to the streaming service.
In January of last year, when Australia struggled with the worst bushfires in decades and was on the verge of being overrun by the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix did the unthinkable.
All of those people who wanted to see Harry and the gang experience their Hogwarts adventures suddenly faced a grim reality.
Films The Philosopher’s Stone until Deathly Hallows Part 2 had been removed from Netflix for no reason. Many reacted with furious anger on social media.
One user wrote: “Shit. I just started the books for the first time. I was hoping to see at least a few movies.
Another added: “It’s a shame… halfway between books and watching movies with my daughter. ”
The streaming service later explained that the removal was the result of a license.
The company’s Twitter account wrote: “ I solemnly swear I’m sorry I didn’t let you know Harry Potter was leaving @NetflixANZ. The licensing of fantastic movies is a beast and we wish we could keep them all. (Especially Azkaban, the best, don’t @ me). “
It wasn’t the only series that was deleted in the early stages of 2020, with Life Hacker reporting that Netflix also dumped the likes of Spartacus, american horror story and Happy day of the dead.
But, it looks like the tide has turned and for some reason (honestly, it doesn’t matter why) all eight films will be returning on July 15.
In addition to this, we will also have Kung Fu Panda 3 at the beginning of the month, followed by The Fear Street Trilogy: Fear Street Part 1: 1994, which is based on Goose bumps legendary books by author RL Grimes.
The second part will be released on July 9 and the third will arrive on July 16.
The seventh month of the year is packed with plenty of stuff on offer, including new weekly episodes of Rick and morty season 5, which will be released every Monday.
We will also have the fourth season of Atypical as well as the second seasons of External banks and I have never.
