Black Widow Actor David Harbor addressed his Red Guardian character’s reference to beating Once Upon a Time with Captain America.
Real name Alexei Shostakov, this Soviet super puncher delights anyone who will listen to memories of the fight against Steve Rogers in the 1970s / 80s, but how true are his stories?
Catch up Reverse, Harbor said sarcastically, “I will say they are absolutely 100% true. The funny thing about Alexei is that I am not interested in reality. He doesn’t even know he is lying.

“Sometimes as an actor I will have to know reality because I will know [if] the character is lying. But Alexei just believes these things to be true, “he added.
“There’s one thing, storytelling… where people just believe their lies to such an extent that even when faced with reality, they can’t process it. It doesn’t make sense. [to them].
“I think Alexei is pretty much the same way. He experiences this reality completely regardless of what others have seen or heard.”

To commit, Black Widow Director Cate Shortland suggested Alexei was telling lies and the truth at the same time.
“I want to see Alexei and Captain America together,” she said. “If we saw them together now, I think we know what would happen.
“I don’t want to see Alexei pooping in his pants. I think that’s what would happen. You would find that little boy in the corner crying his eyes.”
