Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, has been pictured in public for the first time since his daughter’s explosive testimony about her guardianship.
Jamie, 68, was spotted at a storage facility on the outskirts of Kentwood, LA on Saturday signing papers with another man. The elder Spears, who looked weaker than the last time he was seen in public, wore a Monster Energy hat and used a large cooler or table draped with the company logo as a makeshift office.
The New York Times reported last week that Jamie, who sold Britney’s nearby childhood home for $ 275,000 in February, is living in an RV that he parks outside the warehouse, which houses various memorabilia from her daughter’s career.

Britney, for her part, flew to Hawaii with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, after her impassioned speech in court during the latest hearing related to her guardianship.
In her speech on Wednesday, she accused her father’s role in the guardianship she has exercised since 2008 of being “abusive”.

2016 court documents the Times obtained last week revealed that Jamie was in control of not only Britney’s finances but also specific details of her day-to-day life, including whether she could replace her kitchen cabinets.
Jamie has been Britney’s main restaurateur from the start. A lawyer, Andrew Wallet, also played a key role in the case before stepping down in March 2019. A financial firm named Bessemer Trust has since been put in place of Wallet, sharing control of Britney’s estate with his dad.
When Jamie temporarily stepped down from handling her daughter’s personal non-monetary affairs in September 2019, citing health concerns, a chartered trustee, Jodi Montgomery, temporarily stepped in as Britney’s person co-curator.

Britney initially requested that Montgomery’s role be made permanent, but she asked the judge on Wednesday to end the guardianship. His court-appointed lawyer has yet to file any documents to start the process.
