well it is a way to turn a frog into a prince.
Christina Haack has revealed that she met her new boyfriend, real estate agent Joshua Hall, after smoking hallucinogenic venom from a species of toad.
“I met Josh when I was not in a state of fear or fight or flight,” she began in a statement from Tolstoy posted to Instagram Thursday. “I had taken social leave, hired a spirit coach, and smoked a Bufo toad (which essentially reset my brain and wiped out years of anxiety in 15 minutes).”
Haack refers to bufo alvarius, a species of toad, well, that secretes a venom containing 5-MeO-DMT, a potent psychoactive compound four to six times more potent than its better-known cousin DMT, per Addiction Center. “Smoking” is a misnomer: whereas before, you had to physically lick the animal for its effects, nowadays, the toad has its venom, uh, trait (?)
This notorious authority on the outer limits of human consciousness, Mike Tyson, explained to Joe Rogan in 2019 that “I have never been the same” following his experience with “the toad”.
“I look at life differently, I look at people differently,” he said. “It’s almost like dying and being reborn… It’s inconceivable. I tried to explain it to some people, to my wife, I don’t have the words to explain it. It’s almost like you die, you are submissive, you are humble, you are vulnerable – but you are still invincible.
But Robert Anthony Villa, researcher and president of the Tucson Herpetological Society warned in September that the current boom in the bufo venom market has made the species “susceptible to exploitation” and touted a 5-MeO synthesis method. -DMT in a lab to protect them.
And now, back to Haack: she goes on to explain that when she met Hall last spring, “the synchronicities hit us so hard and so fast that they were impossible to ignore. I immediately felt mad about protecting him and wanted to keep him to myself and get to know myself before the tornado (media attention) hit. We had a solid few months to get to know each other and loved every second. “
Explaining that she was reluctant to drag him into his level of fame, where “the false stories [are] thrown left and right, ”she said, the couple“ decided that what is in the past is in the past. “
“We don’t watch all the nonsense online,” she continued. “The internet and social media are great for business or for keeping up with family / friends, but can also be toxic and (let’s be real) quite wrong.
Haack goes on to thank Hall for “taking me on a romantic tropical vacation that he completely planned on his own.” She did not say if the couple had any toad-related plans overseas.
The “Flip or Flop” star Haack announced in September 2020 that she and her husband Ant Anstead are going their separate ways. Anstead then moved on with two-time Oscar winner Renée Zellweger just days after her divorce from Haack was announced.
