Dua Lipa launches her acting career! The singer is set to star in Matthew Vaughn’s new spy thriller Argylle

Still, Dua Lipa is set to add another string to her bow by launching her acting career in Matthew Vaughn’s new spy thriller Argylle, we learned on Thursday.
The 25-year-old Don’t Start Now hitmaker will star in the film alongside Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson in the star-studded film.

Argylle would be the first film in a new franchise and would be based on Ellie Conway’s upcoming novel of the same name.
The plot follows the world’s number one spy and his international adventures in America, London, and other global destinations.
In addition to acting in the film, Dua Lipa will also provide the score for the blockbuster, which is set to begin filming in Europe in August, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Kingsman director Matthew said of Argylle’s story: “When I read that first draft manuscript, I felt it was the most incredible spy franchise yet. and the most original since the books of Ian Fleming of the 50s. It will reinvent the genre of espionage.

The screenplay for Argylle will be written by Jason Fuchs and produced by Adam Bohling and David Reid.
Zygi Kamasa, Carlos Peres, Claudia Vaughn and Adam Fishbach will join the project as executive producers.
Zygi said: “We are delighted to begin our fourth and by far the largest feature film production since the start of the global pandemic,
“This demonstrates both our desire to increase our production business and our ambition to continue to launch new franchises beyond the Kingsman film series.”
Star: In addition to acting in the film, Dua Lipa will also provide the score for the blockbuster, which is set to begin filming in Europe in August, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Matthew’s Kingsman prequel, The King’s Man, starring Ralph Fiennes, is slated to hit theaters by Disney in December 2021.
Meanwhile, Argylle’s novel will go on sale in 2022 when filming for the film is well underway.
In March, Dua hinted at an “inevitable” shift to comedy when she revealed she was reading scripts in a new interview,
She spoke about a number of topics in her extensive interview with the Los Angeles Times, including her new career change.
The profile revealed that the singer had “read scripts for a stint in the theater that seems almost inevitable,” although she does not comment further.
There weren’t any more details on the types of scripts Lipa read to make her “inevitable” acting debut.
