Heidi Klum has opened up about trying to make her marriage to Seal, which lasted from 2005 to 2014, work in a new interview with The Sunday Times.
While reflecting on her past relationship, the 48-year-old model said they renew their vows in front of loved ones every year.
“I think I got married eight times to Seal,” she reminded the outlet. “I thought it would be pretty fun. I thought it would be a feast of love.
She added: “But you know, that doesn’t work either. I tried, you can’t say I didn’t try! ‘
While her best efforts really didn’t work out with the 58-year-old singer-songwriter, she reiterated that she “tried” until they eventually filed for divorce.
The former couple are still in each other’s lives as they share four children Leni, 17, Henry, 15, Johan, 14, and Lou, 11.
He also adopted Klum’s eldest daughter Leni when she was five.
The teenager’s biological father is Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.
Speaking of his co-parenting with Seal, Klum said: “It could be easier sometimes, but everyone is healthy and that’s the most important thing.”
“Everything else can be figured out,” concluded Klum, who married Tom Kaulitz in 2019, concluded on the subject.
His interview comes less than two months after Seal said he had “never had teamwork” when it came to co-parenting with Klum.

The artist said that while co-parenting can work wonders when parents are on the same page, they have never been able to work together.
“It can be difficult. It takes teamwork. If you’re a team, if both parents are a team, then it’s really easy and it’s not a real challenge at all… But you have to be a team. And if you’re not a team, then anything can fall apart, ”Seal told Us Weekly.
Seal and Heidi separated in 2012 and finalized their divorce in 2014 and last year she took a bumpy road when she wanted to take their children to Germany for the shoot but he objected but Heidi then triumphed in an emergency hearing.
Heidi has requested an emergency court hearing to seek permission to take their four children with her to film the next German supermodel, and Seal initially fought back over fears her children could be exposed to COVID-19 .
The couple eventually made a custody agreement for Heidi to travel with the children, but Seal was granted “extended time” with them before and after they left.
At the time of the hearing, their eldest daughter Leni also filed a statement on behalf of herself and her siblings.
She wrote: “It’s difficult because I love both of my parents, but I feel like I need to talk. I understand that my siblings are too young to talk to the judge, so I am happy to speak for all of us.
“My mother needs to film in Germany for a few months and my siblings and I want to go with her. So far my dad is not allowing us to go, although we have tried to tell him our reasons for wanting to do so.
Leni explained that going to Europe would be an “incredible opportunity” and would also allow her and her siblings to see their grandparents, while her younger siblings are “really upset” and “scared. “at the thought of being away from their mother.
Seal also told Us Weekly that he was not happy with his daughter Leni’s modeling ambitions.
He admitted that seeing his eldest child follow in his mother’s footsteps would not have been his first career choice for her, as it “rarely” ends in happiness.
He said, “It’s a precarious road to take.” But her children are “just not impressed” by her own career. He told the point of sale: “We never really talk about my music.”
