As media as it is controversial, the former minister and businessman Bernard Tapie will be at the heart of a future series on the Netflix streaming platform. Entitled Wonderman, the project will be led by actor Laurent Lafitte, according to information from our colleagues in the magazine First. The mini-series will focus on the young years of Bernard Tapie’s life, and the romantic aspect of his life, “from singer to businessman, from minister to prisoner”. Six episodes are being written, and their shooting scheduled for the course of the year 2022

The project of Wonderman has matured for a long time, since its director Tristan Séguéla proposed it to Laurent Lafitte in 2016 and the shooting of the film 16 years old or almost. The screenplay is signed by Olivier Demangel, who worked on seasons 2 and 3 of the series Black Baron.
Bernard Tapie, currently in the fight against several cancers, was kept informed of the creation of this mini-series. He will not get personally involved in the project, which will incorporate a part of fiction into the story of his life.
