Princess Diana’s vocal coach believes her sons are on the road to reconciliation.

Prince William and Prince Harry set aside their differences at Kensington Palace on Thursday to unveil a statue honoring their late mother on what would have been her 60th birthday. The event marked their second public meeting since Harry, 36, and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties more than a year ago.

“They are both the repositories of his extraordinary love, kindness and compassion,” Stewart Pearce told Fox News. “William obviously saw a very different role. And the fact that Harry could come forward and speak the way he did is remarkable. That’s exactly what Diana would be doing right now.”

“One of the plans she had was to take all of her charitable endeavors that she was involved in and showcase them on a more mainstream platform,” he explained. “For example, one of the things she was talking about was actually making documentaries about some of the charitable activities that she was involved in. She believed that films could be made about some of the extraordinary causes that she was championing or pioneering. I think that’s exactly what Harry is doing. “

Pearce, who worked with Margaret Thatcher and the Royal Shakespeare Company before befriending the Princess of Wales, recently wrote a book about their work together titled “Diana The Voice of Change”. He explores her principles of life and how she became “a force of liberation” as a member of the British Royal Family.

Pearce described how Diana had a great love for her sons before her untimely death in 1997 at the age of 36.

“It was lovely watching them,” recalls Pearce. “She was an amazing mother. Her tenderness, her care, her transparency – I believe her sons have those qualities. Obviously, they are very different people and William is a king in training. Harry is taking a completely different direction. , which I’m personally in the midst of celebrating. I think it’s very unfortunate that the UK press has been so offensive about it. “

Harry, 36, stepped down from royal duties last year and moved his family to the United States in search of a more peaceful existence that he could better control. William, 39, continued his royal life and the demands of being second to the throne.

However, the relationship grew strained in March when Harry and Markle, 39, gave an interview to Oprah Winfrey, who has been watched by nearly 50 million people worldwide.

Harry confirmed rumors that he and his brother had moved apart, saying “the relationship is ‘space’ at the moment” – although he added that “time heals all things hopefully” . Harry also told Winfrey, 67, that his father, Prince Charles, had not accepted his calls for a while.

The couple revealed that before the birth of their first child, an unidentified member of the royal family expressed concern over the color of his skin. Harry has revealed that the person in question was not his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, or his late grandfather, Prince Philip.

A few days after the broadcast, William responded to questions posed by reporters, stating that “we really are not a racist family”.

Pearce said Harry should be celebrated for speaking his truth so openly and raising hopes for positive change, not shied away for exposing his struggles.

“I completely celebrate it and totally support what happened,” Pearce said. “Harry is an agent of change. He is a voice of liberation. He speaks with passion and clarity. I feel there is tremendous emotional intelligence there. He is a young man who has spoken out after many. years of silence, after many years of pushing the anger over his mother’s death inside. The very fact that he has become so open about the challenges he has faced regarding his mental health is extraordinary. encourage other people to talk about their own challenges. “

Pearce said he was not surprised Harry and his family moved to California. It is a destination that Diana had also considered shortly before her death.

“She told me about buying a house in Malibu when her divorce settlement came in early 1996,” he recalls. She said, ‘I love the United States. And the American people have always given me such a warm welcome. My heart is nourished by their welcome and I love Los Angeles. I want to buy a house in Malibu. “They loved to swim,” Pearce continued. “They loved all kinds of sports. And Diana thought they would have such a good time there when they were with her. I think Diana would have loved the fact that Harry now lives in Montecito because she liked that climate. Mediterranean that is offered on the West Coast. She would have spent a lot of time in the US She loved New York and Chicago. But she certainly spoke of Malibu.

Despite rumors of an alleged feud between the brothers since Harry stepped down, Pearce insisted “there is no loophole”.

“Two brothers had a disagreement – it’s not a breakup, a quarrel or a fight,” Pearce said. “The brothers disagree… They are preparing for their own power. And people are outraged that the British heritage is changing. Well, of course it has to change. They are stepping back from the private mystique that family has to offer. royal has always been confirmed… It is unfortunate that this is being projected in a certain way, that we are hearing more royal watchers from afar. But I believe there is something that needs to be healed and they are moving to this territory . “
