There is hope for Prince Harry and Prince William to mend their strained relationship.
The claim was made by a source who claimed the brothers “have turned a new leaf” after a statue was unveiled in honor of their late mother, Princess Diana, on the occasion of what allegedly was his 60th birthday.
“William and Harry spent the morning before the statue’s unveiling looking through old memories, Diana’s notes and ties,” the insider told Us Weekly on Wednesday.
“They absolutely turned a new leaf in their relationship and started healing,” the source said. “Everyone around them was delighted to see how close they were on the day the statue was unveiled.”
PRINCE HARRY AND PRINCE WILLIAM ARE ON THE WAY TO HEALING, PRINCESS DIANA’S COACH SAYS: “THE BROTHERS DO NOT AGREE”
The brothers united for the private ceremony in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace in London, a place where the princess once found solace. This was only the second time the siblings have appeared in public since Harry, 36, stepped down from royal duties over a year ago.
The statue, which shows a larger-than-life Diana surrounded by three children, was commissioned by the brothers in 2017. The style of her dress is believed to evoke the last period of her life when she gained confidence in her humanitarian work.
Diana died in 1997 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Paris. She was 36 years old.
“Today, on our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, improving countless lives, ”said William, 39, a joint statement leading up to the unveiling. “Every day we want her to be always with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen as a symbol of her life and legacy forever.”
A video released after the event showed the brothers entering the garden together before speaking with family members, then pulling two ropes to remove the statue’s cover.

In their only other recent appearance together, the couple appeared to have a friendly chat after the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip. But subsequent reports indicated that there was little progress in mitigating the fracture.
Ties between the brothers have been painfully strained in recent months, with William defending the royal family against allegations of racism and callousness made by Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, from their new home in Southern California.
Harry stepped down from royal duties last year and moved his family to the United States in search of a more peaceful existence that he could better control. William continued with his royal life and the endless demands that come with his role as second in line for the throne.
The relationship grew more strained in March when Harry and Markle, 39, gave an interview to Oprah Winfrey in March that was viewed by nearly 50 million people worldwide.

Harry confirmed rumors that he and his brother had moved apart, saying “the relationship is ‘space’ at the moment” – although he added that “time heals all things hopefully” . Harry also told Winfrey, 67, that his father, Prince Charles, had not accepted his calls for a while.
The couple revealed that before the birth of their first child, an unidentified member of the royal family expressed concern over the color of his skin. A few days after the broadcast, William responded to questions posed by reporters, stating that “we really are not a racist family”.
Diana’s vocal coach, Stewart Pearce, told Fox News he believes William and Harry are on the road to reconciliation.
Pearce, who worked with Margaret Thatcher and the Royal Shakespeare Company before befriending the Princess of Wales, recently wrote a book about their work together titled “Diana The Voice of Change”. He explores her principles of life and how she became “a force of liberation” as a member of the British Royal Family.

Despite rumors of an alleged feud between the brothers, Pearce insisted that “there is no breakup”.
“Two brothers had a disagreement – it’s not a breakup, a quarrel or a fight,” Pearce said. “The brothers disagree… They are strengthening themselves with their own power. And people are outraged that the British heritage is changing. Well, of course it has to change.”
“They are withdrawing from the private mystique that the royal family has always defended,” he continued. “It’s unfortunate that this is being projected in a certain way, that we are hearing more from distant royal observers. But I think there is something that needs to be healed and they are moving into this territory.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s departures from royal duties began in 2020 over what they described as British media intrusions and racist attitudes towards the former ‘Suits’ star. The family now resides in the coastal town of Montecito, California.
On June 4, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The child is eighth to the British throne.
The name honors both Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, whose family nickname is Lilibet, and his late mother.
