Tara Reade, the former member of the Senate who claimed last year that Joe biden sexually assaulted her in 1993, White House press secretary Jen Psaki retaliated after praising the president as an “advocate” for abused women.
Following the shocking Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling overturning disgraced comedian Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, Psaki declined to comment on the decision herself at Wednesday’s press conference, but spoke of Biden’s activism in addressing violence against women as a nod to Cosby’s victims.
“The president has long been an advocate for combating violence against women,” Psaki told reporters. “To make sure we are raising the voices and the stories of those who are survivors of sexual assault.
“It’s something [he] has done throughout her career and will continue to do so, ”she added.

In a statement to Fox News, Reade criticized Psaki’s comments.
“Psaki is speaking on behalf of the man who is now POTUS who sexually assaulted me and I’m sure she heard me,” Reade told Fox News. “She is complicit in the culture of rape by displaying her hypocrisy and the hypocrisy of the administration regarding the defense of women when they are the perpetrators.”
Psaki did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment. Biden and his presidential campaign have previously denied Reade’s claims.
Reade also expressed solidarity with the nearly 60 victims who made allegations of sexual misconduct against Cosby, telling them “I’m here for you.”
“I’m so sorry you thought you had some measure of justice. She was ripped off,” Reade said. “I understand what it is [like] Exposing a sexual assault by a rich and powerful man… Survivors shouldn’t have their lives torn to shreds for telling the truth. The powerful and the rich should not be rewarded for the crimes they have committed. I will stand up for all survivors and myself. They can break our hearts, but they won’t break our minds. We will fight to ensure that survivors get the justice they deserve. “
She added, “We must end the rape culture in America.”

Reade, who wrote the recent memory “Left Out: When The Truth Does Not Fit In” about her experience with her assault allegation was one of eight women who came forward in 2019 to accuse the then Democratic candidate of touching inappropriate.
A year later, Reade revealed her sexual assault complaint on “The Katie Halper Show”. Biden has repeatedly denied his allegations during the election campaign.
